Albuquerque, NM to Indianapolis, IN

I created this ride as a way to get from my home in Albuquerque, NM to my parents place in Indianpolis so I could go out for the Indianapolis 500 this year.

I broke this ride up into two days stopping at the Cross Timbers campground at the Toronto State Park in Kansas. The first half of the ride is about 675 miles and the second half is about 635. It's definitely a fast paced ride, plus you lose an hour each day as you're heading east.

I was on US-54 for the majority of the ride. US-54 is a pretty nice road and well maintained and for the most part has very little traffic. It's very boring, flat and straight through most of Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. As soon as you start to get into Missouri it starts to get hilly and curvy.

I-70 is just your ordinary interstate. I was sad to get back onto it after riding on US-54 for so long. Semis, traffic, exits everywhere, etc made it seem not so fun.
