Albuquerque to the Very Large Array (VLA)
This was a great ride to do on Saturday. There is a lot of interstate riding, but it's minimal on the weekends. Just head south on I-25 until you hit exit 150 for Socorro. I'd recommend filling up with gas here as it's about 90 miles from Socorro to the VLA and back.
Head west on 60 through Magdalena and you'll eventually start to see the dishes. Turn south on 52 and follow the signs to the VLA. There's a visitors center that has information about the VLA and some of the photos it's helped take. There's also a walking tour that takes you up close to one of the dishes.
All in all it was a fun ride to take to get out of town for the day.
