Denver, Colorado to Lake Granby and Grand Lake
Denver, Colorado to Lake Granby and Grand Lake. Last August my wife and our so called dog took a camping trip which we spent camping at one of the state parks on Lake Granby. The days where hot I mean hot and the nights took a turn for the worse as they were bone chilling cold. If you plan this ride just make sure you carry warm and cold cloths as we only packed for warmer weather we found our selves waking up around 1 am to put on everything we had with us.
The mornings started off by heading over to Grand Lake were we ate breakfast, just make sure you’re not pressed for time as the breakfast joints were not speedy by any means. After breakfast we headed over to Roosevelt National Forest were we looked for moose, two out of the three mornings we did find them all females, then we headed over to some different parks to hike. If you have a small dog like we do make sure you are able to pick him or her up quite often due to the terrain. As you can see from the pictures we did manage to find some nice scenery. We spent our evenings taking a boat tour around Grand Lake and eating at some of the restaurants that over look Grand Lake. All in all it was a good time I just wish we had packed some warmer cloths. The nights were also filled sitting by the fire, staring up at the stars. Coming from Denver were you can’t really see the stars this was something pretty cool.
