Heading East to IN,MI and WV from NM
Wow, what fun!! Took my rebuilt vintage Harley XLCH east back in June 2011. Drove I-40 from Edgewood to Tucumcari, NM. Headed NE on Hwy 54 all the way to almost IN. Went into MI and then headed south to see family in WV. Bikes clutch gave out 10 miles from my dad's place and I limped home to his place. I am back in NM currently and heading back to WV to rebuild clutch and take it somewhere else. In essence on this trip I rode 2300 miles in 5 1/2 days of riding. Had a great time. Would do it again. I averaged about $150 in gas to ride 1500 miles.
