Northern VA
This route starts on the outskirts of Haymarket/Gainesvillle, in northern VA.
The route starts at a 7-11 gas station at Hwy 15 and Hwy 234. From there, the route goes to The Plains. The route to The Plains is very scenic and some of the roads are tight with some elevation changes...lots of farm land and some historic sites to stop at. From The Plains, the route goes to Middleburg. From Middleburg, I usually double back the same way I came. There are other routes to take from Middleburg but the roads aren't tight (they're actually highways). When doubling back, I sometimes fork at Antioch and ride back to Haymarket (since I live very near there. I usually stop at the Sheetz at Hwy 55 and Hwy 15 to fill up and check tire pressure (they've free air there, but the station is extremely busy most of the time).
