Poudre Canyon Road

This motorcycle ride begins at 5,200 feet in elevation at Ted's Place (US 287 and Poudre Canyon Road) and climbs to 7,330 feet at is rides past Rist Canyon. It then descends slowly back to 5,200 feet at US 34 near Loveland.

This is a fun ride connecting Fort Collins and Loveland and a great way to get from Fort Collins to Highway 34. This ride has many quick s-type turns and provides some nice scenery. The road runs adjacent to the Cache la Poudre river and there are many small campgrounds and pull offs to allow access to the river.

After turning onto Stove Prairie road, the ride's mood changes a bit, traffic disappears and the scenery becomes much more mountainous. Set your mind in touring mode when taking this portion of the ride and you'll have a great time.
