Trail Ridge Road
Trail Ridge Road, along US 34, is the highest through road in the United States. It runs from the town of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park on the east over Milner Pass to Grand Lake and then Granby on the west. And it's one of the best motorcycle roads in Colorado.
With eight miles of the road above 11,000 feet, Trail Ridge Road is closed from October through May, approximately, covered under more than 10 feet of snow.
Trail Ridge Road is the ultimate in Colorado passes and is a must for any motorcyclists coming here to ride.
Campgrounds are available inside the park on both sides of the pass and outside the park on the west side. Other accomodations are plentiful in Estes Park and Grand Lake. Four motorcycle-accessible campgrounds are found on the west side of the pass: Timber Creek, Green Ridge, Stillwater, and Sunset Point Campgrounds.
