Wilkerson Pass
Wilkerson Pass is a minor pass, reaching a summit at 9,507 feet as US 24 crosses it into South Park. It may not be worth a detour to see but if it is on your route it is definitely a nice motorcycle ride. It will be on your route if you’re coming into the mountains from or heading down from the mountains to Colorado Springs. From Woodland Park on the east to Harsel in the south part of South Park the ride is about 45 miles. Along the way you’ll pass by some very interesting and picturesque rock formations and the view of South Park from the pass is stunning. In the other direction, Pike’s Peak looms large and close by.
There is one motorcycle-friendly campground along this route, Round Mountain Campground, which is just on the eastern side of the pass.
