RoadGear Coconut Socks

The tagline for these socks is “The Most Awesome Socks on the Planet!” and they certainly are pretty awesome. The yarn is infused with natural coconut fibers which gives the socks their name. Today was the first day I tried these socks and I put them on for a 2 hour ride in 45 degree Fahrenheit weather. The socks helped keep my feet nice and warm and one nice thing is they come up almost to your knee so they help keep the lower part of your leg warm too.

I put these socks on around 11:00am and as of 9:30pm I still haven’t taken them off. They’re extremely comfortable and unlike most socks don’t ride down your leg and bunch up by your ankles. In the entire time I’ve had them on I haven’t had to pull them back up or readjust them. I’ve always been a fan of the SmartWool style socks but I think I might have some new favorites with these.

Another thing I really like about these socks is how form fitting they are. There isn’t a bunch of extra fabric at the feet that make walking around awkward or cause stress issues when you’re wearing them in your boots. I also like that they’re made in the USA and not elsewhere as well.

As a side note, these socks would be amazing to wear if you’re skiing or snowboarding. The form fitting feature of these socks would make it extremely comfortable to wear these all day under your skiing/boarding boots without bunching up around the lip of the boot.
